Anybody running 275/65R18s with 3.55 gears?

My truck originally had 17" wheels that were replaced with 18" Lariat wheels, and to compensate for the wheel size they went with a smaller tire. As you can kind of see in my signature pic the small tires don't look great. I'd like to put on the bigger 275/65R18s but am concerned it will be too doggy with the 3.55 gears, but am thinking it isn't a big enough difference to be a big deal.

So anyway I'm looking for real world experience of people doing this. I apologize if somebody has covered this, but I can't find much info in a search.

Looking to put on Firestone Destination ATs, currently have BFG Long Trails which have lasted well and have decent winter traction but are pretty rough riding, although some of that rough ride can probably be attributed to the lower profile than stock.

275/65-18 is the stock size on 4x4's with the 18" wheel. Mine was built with 275/55-20 and I have 3.55's

I wouldn't go any less than 275/65/18, they are a stock size. I had them on my truck with 3.55's before I jumped up to 275/70/18's.

What kind of mileage do you get with that combo?

don't ask.....I've got the 4.6 so that makes the combo even worse but I get around 9. 10 if I'm lucky....even with my combo that's pretty low and considering I drive like a grandma to get it. I just need to get out there and check everything over.
