Ford now uses sensors on the valve stems. I just swapped wheels on our 2011 mustang and it was cheaper for me just to have the sensors moved to the new wheels. Cheapest I found a set of sensors for was on ebay for about $175.

You can get both sensors and valve stems to hold them, assuming they will work for your wheel, from www.tascaparts.com. Cost is $43.75 per tire.

Question ............. Is there anyway to not use sensors and shut down the system so you dont get the low pressure alert?

No. It is a federally mandated safety feature, so it is illegal to shut it down, and to my knowledge, there is no way to do it.
