Tires Ordered!

Well uncle sam paid back the interest free loan I gave him so I went ahead and ordered the tires. I got the trail grapps in 35 x 12.50 x 20, the cheapest place I found them was truck-addons for 334 a tire. Total was 1336 with free shipping. They did not have them in stock so they are going to drop ship them directly from the nitto wharehouse, which happens to be right here in Cleveland Ohio. I'm just outside of Cleveland so I should have them by Monday. If it wasn't for the 12" of snow that was dumped on us this morning, I might have got them today.

I put a 3" autospring kit front and a set of A/S 3" blocks in the back.

Do you know what it's going to cost you to get them mounted and balanced??

Man, I tried to buy my last two sets of tires from TireRack becasue the price was awesome...But then when I went to price getting them mounted and balanced, that awesomeness kept drifting farther and farther away. I literally checked a minimum of 5 reputable places around me and they all sock it to ya for bringing in tires you didn't buy from them. Made me think these shops are getting smart to the mail order deals.

Long story short, I ended up saving money (my truck I saved $25, my car I saved hundreds) on my last two sets by buying from Discount Tire over TireRack. Then factor in the warranty/service and it was a total no-brainer.

I'm not saying you did, but I think a lot of guys on here get sucked into the cheap (at least in appearance) on-line price of the tire alone and neglect the total package.

Did you shop this out...what have you experienced when the total cost is said and done??

You are on the money, that's what they do. My dad says it is like bringing steak to a steak house

i ordered my tires from discount tire. They price match and are willing to haggle. The tires + free shipping and the warranty was the cheapest anywhere. Great company and i will be buying my next set of tires from them.

I only checked the NTB down the street and they want 29.99 for mount/balance+road hazard per tire. I have four tire stores within walking distance from my house so I'm going to check the other three and see what they have to offer.

I was going to buy from discount but because they have a wharehouse in OH I would have to pay sales tax on them. Bying from someone out of state allowed me to bypass the sales tax and saved me over 100 bucks just on the purchase of the tires, plus truck addons also offered free shipping.

You do know that technically, you are supposed to pay state sales tax on internet purchases regardless, don't you?

I'm sure everyone takes their receipts with them when they have their taxes done (or include them when they file themselves).

They're on!! M&B was 120 plus the 1336 I paid for them for a total of 1456. I'm now sitting at 41.5" at all 4 corners.

I'll get better pics tomorrow when I have better light.
