3" body lift

my truck is only 2wd, but if i were to add a 3 or 4" body lift, would i still need a leveling kit in the front to do away with the 3 1/2" rake that i have right now?

they don't make a 4in body lift, but yes you will still need a leveling kit. the body lift is going to lift the front just as much as the rear and you cannot just use the front lift.

A 3 inch body lift and a leveling kit up front wil do that for you. However, body lifts are a pain to install on the 04-08 trucks so it's only economical if you can install it yourself.

Put in a 2.5" AS level and go from there. You'll hardly notice the rake after that.

Best way to tell is measure the clearance between ground and the top center of the fenderwell at both front and back. My back sat higher than my front by about 2.25" so I went with the 2.5" and now my front is a little higher.

Nobody on here really recommends doing more than a 2.5" level because of the stress it puts on the ball joints and such by changing the angle. I would do the 2.5" level and see how you like it or you could look at Bilstein shocks.

I have a 3" HBS level kit on the front of my truck for a couple years now with no extra wear & tear so you will be fine with a 3" level I also have a 3" PA Body Lift which I think looks good with the level. I got a total of 6" of lift over stock between the 2 lifts. You can see for yourself if you like it or not. Oh but mine is not a 2wd its an FX4. Just make sure you get the Gap Guards for the Body Lift.
