You are like a dang cricket in the dark! haha.Im not sure if anyone has told you, but in my gallery you will see a black fx4 with a 2.5" leveling kit. I ran 35 inch cooper STT's which actually have a lug pattern on the sidewall unlike all the tread patterns that you have ran on your trucks. Also still not a true 35" tire and not hardly any lugs on the sides of the tires to rub (which is still the original arguments we all had with you to begin with)..I had no rubbing as well, as i matched my backspacing correctly. This has been done long before you showed up here....i did this back in 05. Everyone keeps missing the point of this useless thread. Its not to say everyone can fit 35's with a leveling kit and NO TRIMMING as claimed. If thats what you wish to do.Also there are a ton of people running 35's on stock rims...Nobody said this cant be done. I just wanted folks to know based on specs of wheels/tire combinations that you may run into issues with your claim "YOU CAN RUN 35'S WITH NO TRIMMING". My truck now on 6" of lift will has a bit of rubbage when i am offroad. Anyway, thanks for the call-out. Truck looks good none the less.

so 295/70-18 with 18x9 wheels and 4.5bs shouldnt rub then with a 2.5 level kit?

33" tires leveling kit and rubbing problems ??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey whats up guys i got a question for yinz, i recently went with the BILSTEIN 5100 shocks that have a 2" leveling adjustment in em and added 33x12.50x20 toyo open countrys and thier rubbing on the rear side of the fender anyone else running this set up and come across the same problem ??? i didnt expect to come across this, and my camera died so i cant uplaod pics right now but i got a 2005 F150 STX i really dont want to have too add a body lift or cut the fenders with a grinder but il do whatever i got to do......thanks guys any info would be great

33's are no problem at all... I had 285/70R17s (33x11.5/17 nominally) on the truck prior to the 35s. I couldn't make them scrub if I tried...

Come drive your truck in MO or these other states that get a lot of snow and ice. Your truck will be rusted out from all the salt in a year. Thats why we dont want to cut and chop.

For what it's worth, I have 35x12.50/17 Hercules Trail Digger MTs on Pro Comp 17x9 rims with a 4.75" backspacing. I had to trim the valance a hair, and nudge the back corner of the inner fender back a hair. No real trimming, just a couple of knocks with a big hammer... Not enough to compromise the undercoating. No big deal really... Only issue is every now and again, the plastic will warm up in the summer, and get loose in the fender, and bow forward into the tire... I need to do the pin back to keep that from happening...

that's what i was trying to get across. i wasn't calling the op or the other guy liars i actually think their trucks look great and if they don't have any problems then that's great.

i've just seen though how bad some people have had to cut up under their trucks to fit 35's on aftermarket wheels with a leveling kit. i've seen pictures in one thread, can't remember where on here, of a guy doing this and showing all you had to trim. he turned his wheel to full lock and it wouldn't even go to full lock before it hit the back of his wheel well. he cut a lot to make them fit. from what i understand its not the front thats the problem mostly just the rear of the wheel well.

if it works for you guys thats great though. :beers:

If it was a 2004 FX4 you are probably talking about VerticalHorizon's old truck on Fordf150.net, he hacked the snot out of his truck to get 35s in there. He also had some horrid backspacing, and was running Mud Grapplers with those big flapjacks sticking out of the sides... That's the only one I have seen where anything other than plastic needed to be cut. My plastic honestly doesn't need cutting except in the summer. Heat makes it bow out and touch the tire at full lock. Members here have done a pin back where they run a sheet metal screw in through the plastic and into the fender. No biggie... I honestly don't care much about plastic rub. I am more concerned with metal...
