No brake lights? Checked all fuses......

No brake lights? Checked all fuses......

So im leavin dunkin donuts earlier, and a woman pulls next to me and tells me i have no brake lights at all, not even the third one, so i pulled right back in the lot and checked all the fuses...all are good...Any ideas??

By saying you have no brake lights, i assume you have tail lights but nothing changes when you hit your brakes? Or do you have no illumination coming from the tail lights at all? I believe your truck has a brake light switch, let me do a quick search. . .

The only reason im thinkin its not the pedal switch is because when pedal is pushed you can still shift in an out of all gears...if that switch is bad, doesnt it lock the shifter??

probably a headlight switch if the brake switch is still good

Now that's a question I can not answer. Based on a quick google search the part you need is less than $20. I would rather waste $20 on a part that did not work than risk the chance of a $$$ ticket or being rear ended. Someone here will probably chime in soon and clarify the issue for you.

Thanks jet...and to patman, doesnt headlight switch control only head and tail lights? i checked, and both rear lights are on with the headlights/parking lights..
