Goofy Question/Request??
So I've got a funny grinding noise coming from the left front wheel I'm trying to investigate. I think it's actually the brakes cause I already know they're getting pretty low, but going out to the garage to check it all out.
Anyways...my question. While tracking down the grinding noise (cause I could hear it in the truck driving) I had the front end off the ground spinning the tyres by hand trying to locate the sound when I noticed the left wheel spins much easier and with less resistance than the right. It by no means feels like there's a problem with the right or that anything is dragging or indicative of a problem, but clearly more drag on the right and not as easy to spin. Just curious if anyone has ever noticed this or could try it out next time you're bored and see if your truck does the same thing?
I'm assuming its all related to the longer axle for the right and the carrier inside spins with that wheel when free-wheeling, but like I said, just curious.
Thanks guys.

Im not an expert on this, but while i was getting an alignment today the guy with his rav 4 had a problem similar to yours. What the shop did was bang out all the brake dust/ build up in the rotors and gave them a solid clean with a power washer. I'd give it a shot before you try taking it into the shop and have them charge you an arm and a leg for it.
Sorry guys...this thread wasn't meant to be about the noise (started another thread on that, and already found the culprit), this was just about one side being easier to turn than the other.
Calikid...not too worried about the arm and a leg issue as my truck doesn't go to a 'shop'.
