I have seen several pictures floating around the internet showing the Pitbull tires defecting. Rubber chunks coming off of them with very little mileage on them. I have just heard bad things about them and would be scared to fork out $1200-$2000 on a set of tires and have them deteriorate quickly.

really? everything i've seen is people saying that the tire is one of the best about not chunking. also any tire used seriously on trails will loose chunks, iroks, bfgs, etc. the things i've seen say pitbulls hold up the best.

as far as the chunking, I havent seen that, on all of the reviews ive read the guys using them usually say that they suprisingly dont chunk like thier other tires did! and I wonder if that was the Bias ply tires because the radials ar farley new!
again check out this review!

also check out this Jeep, alot of people dont like it, but I do! (well at least I like the tires!)

Those Rockstars on that Jeep are only 8.5 wide with wheel spacers!

They Dont Make the Mad Dogs in my size, or the Growler.

Keep looking at the Rockers and reading about them! They Grow on you!

The reviews look good on the radials, I think if I go with them I might try the BBs in them for balancing

i wouldn't try bbs, just find a shop that can balance them. i had them in my iroks at first and it actually made every tire worse balanced than without them in them.

no problem, haha yeah and it was actually 4 wheel parts that suggested them. i don't think places like 4wheelparts should be able to sell that large of a tire if they say its too big for them to balance. the shop that finally balanced them used the same kind of machine.

Yeah alot of those guys dont know how to manipulate the machine to get a good balance, I used to mount alot of tires at my old work and if you dont manipulate the balance machine it will never stop telling you to add weight, so you never get a good balance!

Its hard to find a good tire mounting guy so I dont have to watch over thier shoulder!
Ive never been impressed with 4WP!
