Has anyone ever done this? I mean getting rid of the factory vacuum assisted braking and change it to the kind the 3/4 and 1 tons have with the power steering pump assisting with the braking. I am considering this as my brakes just feel under powered in stopping my truck.

 

it would be expensive and complicated... you might need a new power steering pump too?

have you tried new pads and rotors? Putting on a more aggressive pad will drastically affect your braking
