Opinions on this tire size please

I'm new here, but I have been reading through the forums for a while. Just wanted an opinion on a tire. I have a 2005 FX4 supercab, and I have been looking at tires recently. I think i finally decided on a 2.5 inch leveling kit and 295/70/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on my stock rims. Think that the tire would look good? Or should I pay more, and get the barely bigger 35x12.5's? Would those still fit on my stock 18" rims?

A 325mm wide tire is way to wide for the OEM 7.5 inch wide wheels.

Lets start out by say I was running the stock 17" wheels with a 2.5" leveling kit and an 1.5" aal in the rear (trailer alot and don't like the Cali rake thing) and was in need of tires. I was just about to pull the trigger on a set of 35s when my cousin gave me a set of FX4 18s, through out my searching I came across the 295/70/18s and from all my research online they would be the perfect size to run on factory wheel without trimming and rubbing issues. Well I bought the 295s and could not be happier. Be shure that if you go with the you mount them with the ruffer lug pattern out (you will see it when you look at them) because some have rubbing issues mounted the other way. I do get contact with my control arms and the tires when I have the steering wheel at full lock in some situations but it is not a big deal, you wil feal it and you let up on the steering wheel a little bit (unless your my wife, supprised they still rub HA HA).

Picture time

Thanks guys. The local tire place gave me a 325/65/18 when I asked for a 35 inch tire. but that was in toyo AT's, and I think I want the trail grapplers instead. Those pictures look great. I can't wait for mine.

I don't fault you at all then if you're saving for new wheels.
