~ Baja ATZ or Trail Grapps!?

I'm torn....Been lookign for the Most aggressive all terrain. Getting 305/50-20 when I put on my Rancho QuickLift
I don't really need a Mud tire, (90% hwy, 10% Off Road) but the Trail Grapps are cheaper than the Baja ATZ tires.

I'm NOT going with the Coopers/Terras anylonger (not aggressive enough for me)

What do you say?
1. Is the MPG's gonna be all that much different? (not that this is a high riority, but the more MPG's the better )
2. Ride comfort/Noise gonna be all that much different?
3. Treadlife? (I know the trails have not been out that long, but your best guess here)

BAJA ATZ $1400 delivered

Nitto TRAIL Grapperls $1330 delivered

MPG's in the same size tire will be very close. Noise/comfort when both new will be close, however after you get some miles on the Trail Grapplers at higher speeds (65+) they start making some noise. I have never owned a set of ATZ's so I can not comment on their ride/noise quality after the tread has worn. However, if you do not mind the niose that comes along with a MT, I have really enjoyed my Trail Grapplers. I must say though if your looking for an AT type tire go with the ATZ's.

I just put the ATZs on my truck, 305s. I had mud grapplers and these tires are a world of difference. So far i love them. They are extremely smooth and they put out a little howl at around 60 mph. I debated on the exact two tires you are and ended up with these, i don't regret it one bit.

I went from the Terras to the Trails on my 02. Definitely make some noise at highway speeds. I've never owned an MT prior to this one so no basis for comparison to other MT's, but they were louder than my Terras. I don't mind it though. Its not out of control. As far as ride, I think they're great. No problems at all. As far as MPG, I went with the exact same size as my Terras (305/55/20) and did lose some MPG. I lost around 3/4 - 1 MPG. I'm at around 11.5 and was low to mid 12's with the Terras. Hope that helped!

Great guys, thanks for the help....leaning towards the extra cost on the Baja ATZ.

Now I'm thinking just to spend the extra $12 on the 35x12.50 ($324 per tire)
the 33x12.50 is ($312 per tire) but then my MPG's are really gonna take the hit.
