brake lights not working

Angry brake lights not working

my problem is that my brake lights wont come on which is causing my shifter not to go in gear when switch is turned on and now my interoir light and my ext cab light also wont turn off help me please 1997 f150

I don't know about the interior lights...

but the brakes issue is likely the brake pedal switch. This activates your lights and releases the shift interlock. It either needs to be adjusted or replaced. Look for it on your brake pedal linkage.

That's just weird. Did you look to see if there is a switch that is maybe connected to the brake pedal somewhere under the dash? Maybe its something that simple. Really just shooting in the dark on this one. Figured there has to be something sending a signal saying the brake is being applied.
