Ebrake help

Ebrake help

It doesnt work. i can push it to the floor and the truck still rolls. need help asap cause i need to get the truck inspected. is this something i may be able to fix or should i just take it to a shop?

did you take off the wheels and look at it???

sometimes the cable comes loose. Or it might just need to be adjusted.

no i havent. i really havent dont have the time until this weekend but i plan on trying to do the plugs saturday and i have practice sunday. is it the rear tires that needs to be checked?

Yes, parking break functions off the rear. If it is drum breaks, they may be shot and your front disk are doing all your work, or as mkosu04 said they may just need to be adjusted. If they are disk breaks do not confuse the caliper with the parking break, it actually resides on the inside (the backside) the rotor. If you don't know what your looking for, you should probably take it to a shop.

ok well i was messing around with it today and turns out the parking break does work. i just have to push the pedal all the way to the floor for them to work. so with that said, im assuming it just needs to be adjusted a lil.
