I am shopping for some new aftermarket wheels. One of the online stores I have been considering says the TPMS OEM is required 06 and up. I have a 2010. Can't I just reuse the ones I already have?
I am looking at some American Racing and Diamo wheels.

 

You can reuse them, but you will need either special valve stems that they are attached to or special bands and mounts that allow the valve stem type sensors to be mounted using bands. However if you are planning to swap back and forth (winter/summer tires) you would be better off buying a second set of sensors and a reset tool.
