e-brake adjustment

recently replaced pads on front of vechicle, pulled rear tires off to check rear pads(ok). Noticed one of my studs in rotor had been spun off probably due to to much torque with air tool (not by me). Anyway tried to remove rotor, didn't happen (first time with this trk),while looking at problem I had backed off/on the adjustment wheel for the e-brake,I have it backed off at the moment. Like I said this is my first rodeo with the e-brake,what I would like to find out, how do you know when it is adjusted to the proper tension to keep it from dragging on the inner drum but still able to wrok when e-brake is applied. Probably simple question for a lot of you guys but I have no manuals/resources to fall back on at this time.
Would appreciate any and all advice on rear rotor removal and e-brake adjustment's.
Thanks JZ

Don't know if it is the approved way, I put the e-brake pedal on about 4 or 5 clicks then adjust it till it is stiff to turn. Then release the e-brake and check to see if it spins freely, then check the pedal travel.

I'm sure someone who knows better will chime in here soon.

Good luck.
