A 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing will stick out 2 inches farther than your OEM wheels.

The best fitment for your vehicle in that wheel would be 18x9 with a 0 offset. That would have a 4.96" back spacing.

This will not stick out at all. But, this will not require you to lift the vehicle at all either. If you get it to stick out to much you might need to put a leveling kit on or do some fender modifications.

Does this mean you've ditched the idea of wheel spacers? If so...

Sorry, but I gave you some misinformation. For some reason I was thinking you had a new body style truck. A 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of BS will only stick out 1.5 inches farther than the OEM 16x7 wheels and only 1 inch farther than the OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels. It's hard to get wheels to stick out of the wheelwells on the 97-03 trucks. My wheels are 10 inches wide with 4.5 inches of BS and the edge of my tire/wheel is just about even with the edge of my fender flares up front. I have pics in my gallary if you want to see.
