BFG G-Force T/A vs. Nitto NT420S

I am planning on getting some new rubber for my rims next spring. I am between the G-Force T/A KDW2s and the NT420s. I see alot of people running the 420s but haven't seen the G-forces. Both seem good for summer driving, which is what my 22s are for. The G-forces look a little more meatier, where the 420s have a cooler tread pattern. So..help me decide. Lets hear some reviews!!

I'm under the impression the BFG is more of a high performance tire than the Nitto 420s so it may not have as good a treadlife. Derrick should be able to clarify.

Th3 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO is an on-off road tire. They are not as aggressive as the Mud Terrains, but fairly aggressive for an all terrain. Tread life on the BFG's are around 35,000-40,000 miles.

I think you got the wrong tire. LOL I'm looking at the BFG g-forces, not the all terrains.

I am more of a mud tire type person...but my truck is a Roush racing truck and I feel it shouldn't be lifted...soo it is getting lowering brackets to make it sit level

Yes the BFGoodrich G-Force Sport is a high performance summer only tire. Sorry about that. What tire size are you running on the truck?

BFG's

I cant speak for the 420's . I've never owned them or even know what they look like. The BFG G force KDW's I have are on my Roush 20's. They are 285/55/20's . you can get all the specs on the BFG website, and they are great about answering questions and such. If your seriously considering them contact them and ask what kind of deal they can give you. They offered me a refund of $60. on a set of 4. so that would cover the balancing, almost. The tires looked and cornered awesome, like on rails. They were predictable as far as knowing when the adhesion to the road was about to come unglued. I liked them alot. except for the price. They come with 11/32 tread new . And if you drive anything like I do, you might get 30k out of them. I stepped up to a 22 now and run the Toyo proxes 2's in a 305/45/22.They are way cheaper. I like them so far, but cant say that I've pushed them as far as the BFG's yet. Downside to both the G force and the Proxex 2's are the directional tread. cross rotating isnt an option. I was looking into the cooper performance tires, but they were out of stock at the time. they are able to be cross rotated. Just my 2 cents . thought it may help. J.B.

I'm looking into this same thing, just bought a set of the new Harley rims and trying to find something between 285-40r22 and 305-45r22 that is a decent tire but doesn't rob me dry. I have been running BFGs on the stock 18" and like them, but I think I need to avoid a summer tire if I want to drive on them over the winter. Are the Nittos all season or summer tires too? I haven't checked into the Proxes yet, what do they run for? I've seen the BFGs for around $215 and the Nittos for $185-200...anyone have any deals or hookups to share?

Anyone tested out the General Grabber UHPs? I need a bigger tire the 305-40 size is too small for my liking, they just look to small. I was planning on going with the G-forces but they don't come in the 305-45 size I want.

I am between the 420s, and Generals in the 305-45-22 size range. The Generals come in that size and they have a decent price tag. The 420s are a bit more, but most know they are good. Also if I can get the tires through tirerack (the Generals I can but not the 420s) I can get a deal through my work.

So if any of you have good or bad on the General Grabber UHPs, fill me in please!

O and here is a link to the Generals

Thanks
