hey yall im thinking about getting some 2008 22" harley davidson rims but have some questions about them has anyone had any problems with them like shine or anything? herd there made of Aluminum Alloy and herd that if a dog pees on Aluminum Alloy rims they stain is this true?, and can you take off those black caps easy or at all? cus if i get them i want to ptm the caps.

 

Well yes they are aluminum any stock wheel that comes from the factory has a clear coat on them to protect them the center cap is like any other factory Ford center cap you use you tire iron and pull them off pretty simple

 

No not the center caps the black insert caps around the rims I believe there's 5

 

Those are painted I believe I'm sure other guys with the rims will chime in soon

 

Yes there painted black but I just wanna know if u can take them off to paint them instead of taking in the hole rim to paint them

 

I'm almost 99.9% sure they can't be removed

 

They are painted on the wheel, not removable. The only thing removable is the center cap and the lug nuts, and of course the valve stem.

 

damn thats what i thought if i get them i want to paint them DSG like my truck just didn't want to take in the whole rim in. if anyone finds out if you can take them off let me know

 

Nobody will ever be able to let you know. They will not come off. They are a part of the forged aluminum wheel.
