Max tire size
Max tire size
Does anyone know the max tire size that will fit on a 2005 super crew lariat with a 2'' rancho quick lift? I'm currently running 285 65 18's (33x11.5) on stock rims and am thinking of going up a size. I might need different rims too, If I remember the stock rims are not very wide.
The largest tire you can fit is a 35x12.50 using the OEM wheels, but they will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. If you go to an aftermarket wheel, you will have to use one almost identical to stock specs to fit them.
Thanks guys, u rock.
I was hoping to a go up a size and keep my stock rims (and go easy on my wallet). I forget what my stock axle ratio is, but do you think if I went up to 34's the truck would be too sluggish?
Also, I was looking at the Firestone Destination M/T tires....any thoughts on those?

I am wanting 295/70/18 (34.5) in the trail grappler and I have 3:73 gears, Im going to get a tuner if it makes my truck to sluggish. I was looking at the firestones but they dont come in a size I want.
