Minus sizing Rims for 2001 Harley Edition

I own a 2001 Harley Davidson Edition F150. It has never been winter driven but I'm afraid that will change this year. I would like to buy winter tires and rims for it and minus sizing to 16 inch seems like a good idea but i've been told it can't be done with this truck. Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this subject.

16's will fit. They will look bad, but they will fit.

Winter tires

Long as there's nothing special regarding brakes, offset etc, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have winter tires and rims for both my trucks (97 & 07), the rims are the cheap steel ones and the tires are winter tread in oem size. No problems here. 16 is the default size for the 97-03 AFAIK.
