Upgrading a 2wd with a V6
I like the khumo road ventures a lot and the km2's. But I like the **** cepek rims too, or mickey thompsons. I'm probably looking for chrome ones. But idk which ones, ether bullet holes or the dc-1s or something. I'll try to post some pics of my truck tomorrow.
New 33x12.50x16 all terrains or mud terrains will run you 1200 plus unless you get something not name brand like the Remington mud brute etc and don't go through discount tire. Otherwise you need to look used. And now days new wheels 16"+ will run 120 and up per wheel which eats up all your budget.
Might have to start small and go through a set or two of used tires and wheels before you find what you like

Yeah I gotcha, I've thought about that too. It's all just a lot and I wanna do it right the first time around so I'm not screwed for everything else I wanna do. Tires and lift are priority though, rims could wait.
It'll look good huh? Haha you liked yours a lot when you had it? and I'm just tryin to get started so a body lift might be the best way to go with some nice tires and hold off on rims. Idk it's so hard! Haha
I think it would look better than how it does now if you are running a stock truck. You cant really make a wrong decision. Just gotta decide what you want now vs later.
Yeah I gotcha, and you are definitely correct. I'll get my camera out tomorrow and get some pics of her. I like it a lot and it's real loud I just want bigger and that aggressive look to it with mud tires and a little lift.
I can't help much since everything I have learned has been from this forum haha but I started out stock a few months ago, saved up money besides gas and etc and now I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Just look around for deals and such. Smaller shops will be more willing to be flexible on the price in my experience. I like b2therad's 1,2,3 suggestion. Around where I'm at a tire like the 285/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers will run you about $200 a piece and then you can use stock rims and buy a body lift and coil spacer and come out with roughly $350 give or take shipping/tax/wheel mounting if you install yourself. Hell, if you wanted to go with the Kuhmo's you'd have about $100 more dollars to spend on rims or save for a suspension lift. BTW, the guys at my discount tire helped me out a ton when I bought a wheel and tire package from them. Knocked $150 off the price because I asked if buying both tires and wheels from them would save me money. Most important, don't be afraid to ask questions as that is how I have learned what I know now. Oh ya and search is your best friend. Plenty of times an idea goes through my head and I search it to find out someone has done it or at least something similar. Welcome to the site
yeah i like the idea of that too to start with, but the road venture mt's are my favorite tire out there so far. Buying rims and tires together isn't a bad idea either because you said it creates a bargaining position sort of lol. It just seems like I need to save up more and make sure I can do all that I want at the same time.

The body lift should come with bumper brackets. Buckshots work great, they got my 2wd through a mud hole that a 4x4 f250 on 35" bfg at's got stuck in for 15 hrs. He tried to go though in 2wd like I was ably to and sunk to the frame.
him stuck

me blasting through

Next Im going to do a 3" body lift and some 35" super swamper ltb's or 36" iroks's
