Stock Pirrelli ?'s

I have the 20" wheels with the pirrelli tires (stock). How long should I expect these to last?

I just ran over a bolt and put the spare on. I'm going to take it up to a local tire place to see if they can't just patch it for the time being. If they can't, do I need to buy two new ones or can I just buy one without wearing the tire out faster?

These tires have about 45k on them and are holding up great. It doesn't even look like they need replaced, so I am hoping they can just patch it so I can get another 10k out of them before getting new tires. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've got 50,000 on mine and they could probably go another 5000 to 7000. before needing replaced, although they suck on anything but dry pavement.

Yea I have them on an 05 with 41,000 and they are going to be done in like 5,000 miles, they suck in mud, slide in grass, and spin on gravel.

Those Nittos are a good tire. Plus they have a sweet tread pattern

What kind of tires would you all recommend? Pref. in the same price range as I don't want to spend a ton on tires. I have found a set of 4 stock ones for 400 on craigslist w/ 500 miles on them (he says he prefers michelin). Trying to decide which way to go. Thanks

BTW, I hardly ever go off roading. So don't need tires for those.

I have the stock Pirelli tires on my '09 and am very happy with them. I drove the truck in 20" snow last winter without any problem (even came over the hood at one point). I have 20K on them and they are less than 1/2 worn.

I want to go with a 33" tire when I replace them (likely a 275/60r20) and the Pirelli is more than twice as expensive for this tire than the stock 275/55r20s

I am getting good wear out of my pirellis but they don't ride good, they won't balance out, no traction what so ever on anything but dry pavement. I would never have this tire again.I would look at something like a hankook as long as you don't tow alot. I have these on my work trucks and the guys say they are an excellant wear tire and ride great but don't handle heavy load towing well.

My stock 20" Pirellis just hit 41K miles and when I do the quarter test the tread goes right up to GW's head so it's just about time to replace them. My tires wore OK BUT there has always been an issue with shaking at 70 mph.....give or take 2 mph. The issue goes away some times when the tires are rotated so it's definitely tire related. I'm not sure what tire I'll go with next.. I'm doing my homework.

4 years and counting. No complaints, and no real issues in winter if you drive sanely). They get a bad rep on here, but these are a lot better than some tires Ford has used (Americrap, Firestone, etc).

Plan on replacing with Cooper Zeon LTZ - another good tire for the price.

Toyo's and Nittos are overpriced.

I really like the Terra grapplers tread patter, but living outside DC and doing a lot of highway-I went with the Dura grapplers, which will probably help with the mpg over the Terra and they come with the 60k warranty. I don't think they were overpriced. Got all four for 700 from discount tire.

I went with the "sucker" warranty from discount for an extra 60 bucks for all four tires. The guy on the phone basically said he gets them on all his cars and it seems like everytime he gets ready to purchase new tires "I get a nail one of the tires and it gets replaced for free". wink wink

So 780 shipped and out the door (includes new valve stems too). Not to bad.

I had low pro nitto's on my old car and they were GREAT tires and didn't wear nearly as fast as the other low pro's I had in the past.
