As someone who recently queried this forum regarding tire selection, I found the new Nitto tire selector quite reassuring. It confirmed the opinions I received at F150 Online. Just plug in your vehicle type and Nitto will calculate your tire options. In my case, I needed to find out whether Nitto Terra Grappler 305/50/20s would fit a 2010 F150 XLT Regular Cab 4x4 with a standard 17" wheel without rubbing issues. Nitto requires a specific Ford model in its calculation, so I had to select a different model offering a 20" wheel option to match my upgrade to Platinum Edition wheels. Based on my understanding that all 2010 Ford F150 4x4 models share identical wheel well dimensions, regardless of cab size, Nitto identified 305/50/20s as a viable option.
