Ordering my new tires and wheels!!!

Ok monday I'm gonna order my New tires and wheels. Found a really good deal on a set of XD Spy's 17x9 12mm offset 4.5 backspacing, and for the tires I'm going with Nitto Dune Grappler as this is a DD and I have used them before with excellent results. My question is should I go with 305/70/17 or 315/70/17 ?? The 315's are cheaper but I'm not sure if it will need more cut away to fit. I already know I'm going to have to trim my front valance and am prepared to do so....but can the 315's fit ???

The 305/70-17's will be a very tight fit with those wheels and a leveling kit. The 315's won't fit without a lift kit.

But the 305's are 33x12.50x17....so from what I've read they should fit...but rub at lock. The 315's are essentially a 34 so I can kinda understand them not fitting right...but when you say they won't work....are you saying they will rub all the time....or just really bad at full lock ?? I'm just trying to make sure I get this right the first time :-)

305s are like a 34x12. 315s are like a 35x12.5. I definantley wouldnt run 315s with 9 in wide wheels and 4.5" BS and I dont think I would even go with 34s either. I would look in the 33 in range. Like 285/70/17.

Right a 305/65-17 is a 33x12.50, which would be a good size.

Ok found the deal I'm going with...I even went out and leveled the truck today :-) 18x9 XD SPY's with true 33x12.50x18 Nitto Mud Grapplers. I have always loved the muds....I know they wear like hell and roar like a piece a farm equip coming down the road...but I'm prepared...the truck doesn't get many miles....I work right down the road from where I live....and the farthest trip I'll make is maybe 250 mile's one way....and If it get's too annoying after the first trip...well I'll still have my stockers for trips :-) But I love loud and annoying. I'm also ordering the Edge Evo, I found one for 335 free shipping....dunno might look around some more...doubt I'll find one cheaper.
