when you have it in park and you hear it yes it is normal. it is the interlock releasing the shifter.

sounds like it is from the shaft where the pedals slide up and down

Anything new on this? I have a 2006 F150 King Ranch that does the same thing, took it to dealer today and just got it back they said that the brake linkage needed lubed because of the adjustable pedals. On the way home I found that they did not fix it at all, it still has pop when I depress brake pedal when coming to a stop.

My 06 F150 Lariat 4x4 does the same thing. Sprayed with silicone and it started up again a day later. There has to be a way to grease the shaft under that boot. Would someone little and skinny (female) please come over and take care of that for me?
