6 rotors in 1 year!! I'm going crazy..please help
I have a 2005 F150 Screw (2WD) with the hub/rotor assembly as one unit. I had break problems last august (warped rotors @ 52,000 miles) and decided to try the job myself due to cost of these rotors. I ended up changing out 5 rotors from Autozone within 6 months due to failures in the bearings and got a refund. I thought..it was probably the Autozone junk...so I went to Brake Masters and they replaced the front 2 rotors with Bindex rotors. Just today and six months and 6,000 miles later, they had to replace my front right one due to the bearings failing again. So that's 6 rotors replaced within a year...11 months to be exact. I'm getting fed up!
Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem here? I talked to my Ford service guy and he couldn't believe it either. He said that it might be something else going on like a spindle or something not being torqued enough. I made sure today that they torqued the spindle nut to the 295 lbs that's recommended.
))) HELP ((((

You should go straight to factory rotors and pads and start over fresh and with a warrantee. Youve either had bad luck, or you need to change the way you wear in brakes or when you actually brake.
So I took my truck into Ford and after $230, they said nothing is wrong with the front axle and no clue why I have continued bearing failure other than non OEM rotors being junk.
No one else know of or experiencing this problem??
This is my 11th truck and I have NEVER had bearing problems and they've all been lifted running 35's with 18-20" wheels. This is my first 2WD and bearings failing on this thing!!??

I think it sounds like junk product, too. If nobody can find anything else visibly wrong than what else could it be?
I can special order Power Slot Cryo rotors for you as an entire assembly, or just the rotors if you need them. Please give me a call if you need to and I will get you pricing.
