Tire suggestions?

Pretty soon I'll be needing new tires. Looking at getting away from BF Goodrich LongTrail T/A. They just do not last. Factory set lasted 40K. Second set will last about the same. Anyone have any suggestions for tires that will last more than 40K miles. Tire size is 265/60 R18 on a 2WD.

Nitto Terra Grappler, or BFG All Terrains both come with high marks in what you're asking, and still look like truck tires.

I would recommend Cooper or Michelin. Both offer a superior ride and are durable tires. IMHO

BFG, Toyo or Nitto all terrains. These tires are 8 or 10 ply rated and may ride a little rougher but are tough as nails and will last 50k miles or more. BFG's can go 60k miles or more easily.

BFG AT's all the way

Just putting this out there, though no one ever believes me, I just replaced my BFG AT's that went 160,000 miles, grant it they had almost NO rubber left on them . Replaced them with a larger set of at's, I went from 265's to 315's, so we'll see how long they will last.
