Question Rear Disc conversion for 1998

Okay, I need to know what exactly I need to do to convert my rear drum with abs over to a rotor setup with abs. What trucks can I use as donors for the parts I am trying to aquire? I want to go with 4 wheel disk for the obvious advantages. I am looking around online but I do not know where to start I found this on ebay and it got me thinking http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/8-8-D...Q5fAccessories I know that my rear end is an 8.8. What I do not know is where to begin. Can anyone help me out or is this place dead to knowledge and info? I looked through almost the whole brake wheels and tire section here and found nothing of which I speak. thank you for the time in reading responding and just looking. Please help!

If it were me I would try to find a complete disc to disc 9.75 rear out of a 99-02 expedition or a 99-03 F 150. should be just a bolt in and you would get a larger rear ring gear as well. May have to change the master cylinder and porportiong valve? as well IDK. the only swap Ive done like this is when my buddy and I put a 8.8 disc rear end out of a 94 cobra stang into his 83 mustang gt.

HOLY CRAP BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe no one has some vauluable insight on this subject. Look I know I am a noobie and I have looked but I dont know what axle I can swap into this truck that has disc rears. I know the only things I need to change is the axle and the brake cylinder fluid cell off the booster. Ican still maintain the factory rear ABS setup nothing else needs to be done. So can anyone tell me what year 8.8 truck axle I can dump in here so I can have 4 wheel disc????

you'll need the parking brake cables along the frame also... 2001-2003 F150 2wd or 4wd 8.8's will fit.. Some 2000's had rear discs. you can not use one from a Expedition as they are coil sprung..

Hey sherriff woody go get a testy with someone else please. I did nothing to you and if I am reading the forum rules correctly.. you just violated one it think its called verbal attack ??? Maybe? But that could just be one persons interpertation..... IDK but whatever.

Now that that is out of the way I would like to say nothing revolves around anyone. I asked a simple question many months ago and it took awhile but I am glad that I finally recieved a well formed answer once again thank you for responding and i hope to have your help in the future and if I can help you then that is repayment enough.
