tire conversion

hey everyone, any help would be great. I want to put 33" inch tires on my truck. I have 18 inch rims 275/65R18 now what would the code be that i need to use to search up those tires. please help also i wanted to ask with me having 18 inch rims is it cheaper to go with 17 inch rims. and how much differenced do you think it would make

275/65 has a 7.04 sidewall, 10.83 tread width and 34.07 diameter (per tire calculator on Dicount Tire web site) so what you have is actually a 34" tire. As for rims - it will cost you more to buy new rims than you will save on the tires.

I know this is isn't my thread but thanks mdhawkin your write up helped me alot, all of those tire calculators and stuff are confusing!

Better recheck your figures. That tire is only a 32.1" by 10.8" tire. It's what came stock on mine.
