Will 33in tires fit?

Hey guys im new too this whole fourm thing but anyway. I have a 1999 f150 4x4 single cab short bed and I was wondering if i would be able to fit 33/10.5/R16 tires on my truck stock hight? I heard that at minimum you need a 3inch body lift. Right now I have 255/70/R16 tires on it. Thanks for the help...

On a 4x4 you can fit those with out a problem. If you want to go a little bigger you can crank your torsion bars (if you do this get an alignment). A good tire to go with would be a 285/75/16.

Welcome to the site.

I agree. 33x12.50's fit easily at stock height. If you are using the OEM 16x7 wheels, a 285/75-16 (33x11.50) is a great size.

Procomp A/T (not extreme AT)
General Grabber A/T
Goodyear Duratrac (I would call this a mix b/t an AT and a MT)
BFG KO (I know you said not them, but they are a great tire)
Mickey Thompson, BAJA ATZ (I think these have the solid center tread in your size)
Nitto Terra Grappler
Toyo OpenCountry A/T (Basically the same as the Nittos)

I personally would go with the BFG's or Nitto's as far as whats listed above. Let me know if you have more questions - but this should be a good start.

Thanks. I have one more question, I know this is mostly personal opinion but do you think having 33in tires on my truck will make it look werid? Being stock hight and all?

No, 33's will look great. I have some pics in my gallary with 33's at stock height on the OEM wheels and 16x10's.
