Squeaky Brakes...
The wifes brakes on her Sport Trac are starting to really squeak. The pads are about 9 months old and appear to be in terrific shape. No defects noted on the rotors. The Sport Trac has about 100k but never before has there been this issue. No shimmy, no shake and the rotors may have a very minimal glaze on them. It's dusty here in southern AZ and this may contribute to the problem. Short of turning the rotors (I hate to if not necessary) what can be done to silence the darn things?
Could be that the new pads weren't bedded well, or the rotors were worn/pitted before last pad change. I guess it may have to do with the dust if there's a lot of it and it gets between the pads and rotor, but I think that sounds unlikely with the tight tolerances.
A little out of left field, but did you take the pads out when you checked them? I once had a pad's backing material somehow get all twisted
, and that caused it to squeal a bit (didn't seat properly against the calipers, I guess). I think it was a Raybestos pad, but it was many years ago.
I'd check the mating surfaces of the pads and rotors and see if there's any obvious imperfections. That's my $0.02.
Good luck!

I would guess it to be a dust issue. My kid's Jeep does it every summer and we've had it checked by about every place in town and they all say the brakes and rotors are good - doesn't seem to do it after you wash it.
My sister car once started making noise with good pads, took it apart to
find a small rock had gotten in to the middle slot of the pad causing noise
also if you have rust build up on the edge of the rotor it can cause noise with the pad
