Like the title states I'm doing my brakes this weekend. I'm only doing the front becasue I just replaced the back rotors and pads last year. However, I'm going to put wagner tq on but didn't know which pads to go with, the semi metalics or ceramics? I know that both will cause less dust which is what everyone with 04^ want, but I tow 5 days a week with my truck and didn't know which would be better for towing?

Also, is it recommended to change rotors also if I were to go with ceramics for breakin? I don't need new rotors but I didn't know.

 

I have the Wagner TQ ceramics all around on my truck. I did not replace my rotors they were fine. I did scuff them a bit to help with the break in. Both types of pads are great dust wise the only difference is that the ceramics tend to handle high heat situations better/less fade that can come when towing heavy loads. I tow often so I picked the ceramics. I have heard that they can wear you rotors faster but I connot tell any difference so far. I am probably getting close to 15000 or so on my pads now.
