Mstr cyl or ABS module

2005 F150 FX4
How can I determine which is causing my brake pedal to bleed off to the floor board?
Brakes also do not seem to stop as well since this started.
The MC is a much cheaper part compared to the 1200 bucks Ford dealer wants for the ABS module.
Can anyone assist with how to trouble shoot this?
Thanks to all.

if you can't find any external leaks then its probably the master cylinder

So, if there are no visible external leaks a master cylinder be bad and cause this type issue? I would not expect that...but what do I know
Thanks!

Yep... its likely an internal leak... the fluid is leaking around one of the seals but it leaks back into the reservoir so you don't see it.

You can't replace the seals so you have to replace the master cylinder.

Be sure to deplete the vacuum in the booster before you pull the MC off... with the engine off, pump the pedal till it gets hard as a rock. That way you don't suck the o-ring into the booster.
