17" Minimum on '06?

Im looking to put old-school black steel wheels on the truck Im getting and wanted to use 16's with 32" or 33" tires.

Why on the 2006 is the "minimum" wheel size 17" where most other years are 16?

Also, if the bolt pattern is 6x135mm, is that the ONLY pattern that will work or could I get by with something close to that?

17's are the smallest you can run on 04-08 and 6x135mm is your bolt pattern. Plenty of wheels in that pattern.

In 04 with the new body style they included larger front brake rotors. 16's will not fit.

The 17" wheels are needed to clear the brake calipers.
