if it matters bub im lookin at getting a set too if i dont sell the truck. All these people talk about what they have "heard". where did you hear it from. i read on a review about the lack of water traction. however all the other BS? everyone i have ever talked to has liked them. i think they look awesome if you get them in a lower profile. however when you get 38's on 16's i think they are hideous. also heard from member on here that they pulled 42k miles out of a set. thats amazing for a low pro soft compound tire.

Well thats 15-20k more miles than what people are averaging out of these tires.

And quite honestly, they could get a 100k miles and I still wouldnt run them in FL. Its stupid, you are in a state that rains almost everyday this time of year and your gonna put a set of tires that have HORRIBLE wet weather manners on the truck. Seems to me like people are get more and more stupid.

Damn did't think this would come up, but my first two years of driving was driving a SuperCharged Celica GT-S, it was on drag radials all year that were non-siped never had a problem.

Next New England drivers were given the oppertunity to have their tires siped for 10$ on non siped tires. Only 5 out of 20 did it, and saw nothing better than normal non-siped tires.

The shop will sipe my tires for 2.50$ each tire.

If DOT doesn't allow un-safe tires to sell, then why are these for sale?

I don't think anyone ever said they were "un-safe" I think really the point here is that there are better "safer" tires for your driving conditions out there. Really, when it comes down to it there are better options for wet weather (non desert) conditions. However it is your truck you are driving it and if you want Dune Grapplers go for it, but you yourself gave them a 2.5/5.
