correct wheel weights for '07 F-150 with chrome 17's
Hey all!
Well I decided to replace the 255 70 17 OEM General AmeriTrac TR's on my truck with new tires. I got a set of Firestone Destination A/T's which had a horrible wobble above 60 mph. The tire place re-balanced them FIVE times, which began to chew up my 17 inch "chrome" wheels. I eventually asked for a different set of tires and just got 4 BFG Long Trail T/A Tour's. The tire place NOW says they don't have "Ford weights" and instead center balanced my wheels with stick on weights. I KNOW that my truck had "hammer on" weights from the factory.
Can anyone send me a pic of the weights they had from the factory, or know what to ask for?? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!
I am going to a different place tomorrow, which is why I wanted to know what to ask for when I get there...
I know my truck had hammer on weights from the factory, and if I remember correctly they had "MC" on them and were painted gray. On two of the rebalancings, I got super old fashioned pot metal type weights for steel wheels, which didn't fit right.
I drive about 35,000 miles a year, and I just want my super smooth riding F-150 back. I didn't do anything like lift the truck, change sizes, etc. The F-150 has been the best selling vehicle (car, truck, van, motor-scooter, etc.) in the USA for like 40 or so years, so why is it such a nightmare to simply put new tires on in the factory size??
