Alright, I got a "will it fit" question

There is a fella near me who is willing to trade his 20x10 chrome Monsters for my OEM 20s, straight up. He doesn't know the backspacing, but they look to likely be the 4.5" variation. I have a 2008 leveled FX4. Now, I don't mind a little trimming, but how big of a problem will I have trying to put 33x12.5 Toyo MTs on there?

Also, my truck is DSG, and I'd like black wheels, but this price is tough to pass up.

Thanks in advance. Mike

I *think you should be fine with a 2.5" level. 2" may be questionable.

the total package would stick out about (assuming you have stock tires) 5'' further than your stock setup. That is alot, I would think you would have some big rubbing.

Rims - 1.5''
BS - 2''
Tires - 1.5''

That would be really similar to another guy on here who put 18x9's with 4.5'' bs and 325/60 (33ish x 13) and his rubbed enough he ended up putting a body lift on, collegeboy07.

Oops, I was thinking 20x9, not x10. Yeah that might cause problems.

No, that is 5'' more than your current stock setup.....

I looked back and noticed that frmerboy9 put 35's on 20x10's with 4.5bs but he had a 3'' lvl. He also had to trim the valence, wheel well and some of his running board.

It can be done, just will require some serious trimming IMO

Here is what 9'' wide rims with 5'' bs and 33x12.50 look like.

And here is 10'' wide rims with 4.5'' bs and 35x12.50

After re-reading your original post, I would make the trade and fit what you could on them for now if you plan on ever lifting. That is a killer deal.

A 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of BS will stick out 3.5 inches farther than your OEM wheels. You can fit a 33x12.50 using that wheel but you will probably have to do some minor trimming. I think you are correct about the specs on the Monsters. I'd check KMC's website and make sure that is the specs.

Once again wandell swoops in and saves the day...sorry to get you leaning in the wrong direction colonel. The 4.5 bs and 10" wide rims had me thinking it was going to be too much. Sounds like you are getting a great deal

Not a problem, and its a good deal, but I think I'm going to pass. Can't get excited about them as I really like a wheel with lip. If anyone has the OEM 20s and wants to trade with him, I'll send you his email. Oh well, my loss is another's gain. Thanks for all of the help guys.
