Help with possible brake issue!
Sorry for the long post but I will try to give all the info on the problem.
A few days back I started noticing a vibration. At first I thought it felt like a tire rubbing. My front tires rub on the sway bar at full lock and this felt very similar but I was not turning much at all. I realized it was also only happening withing the first 5-10 minutes of driving after the truck was sitting for a while and also when starting from a dead stop. I examined my tires and could not find anything loose or any signs that they were rubbing. It seems to be happing more and more and I have ruled out engine sputter as well. I believe now that it is coming from the rear, specifically the drivers side brake. It does not grab instantly after moving from a stop but within the first 5-10 feet. It only does it for a moment and then its fine and it does not seem to do it at highway speeds. I had noticed for the last few weeks that the drivers side rear would squeak a little first thing in the morning when backing out of the drivway and I assumed it was just moisture on the pads. My pads are fairly new Wagner TQ's and the truck has about 58000 miles on it. The only other thing that might have something to do with it is that a few weeks ago I finally got around to have the recall fix done on the brake booster line. I really don't think it is the rear end or tranny but maybe it could be? Any ideas? Thanks!
