toyo mt questions

I have been looking at getting a set of the toyo open country mt's and on 4wheelparts.com they say a 285/75r18 measures 35.1.So what Im wondering is would that make them like a 35x12.50 or 13.50 or what?

I'm looking at a Toyo tire light truck tire brochure right now, and it's saying they make that size in Open Country A/T light truck, but nothing for MT. For that size on the A/T though, it actually measures 34.8 diameter and 11.3 width. It gives a standard measurement option next to it of 35x11.50R18. hope that helps.

For reference, remember the first number (in your case, the 285) is the width of the tire in mm's. Every manufacturer uses their own specs as to where the measurement is (tread width, section width, etc) but it will always get you in the ball game and give you a good reference on what you're looking at.

So, 285 / 25.4 = 11.22"

A 12.50 is closer to a 305. 305 / 25.4 = 12.00"
