As I type this it seems funny I would want to replace something that has been so good, but you know how the itch gets going and you're just ready for something new!

Alex, Yeah I figured my tread was still good. I've rotated them every 6000 miles along with my oil change. Once I go over 50,000 miles I start wondering if its time to change. I'm not one that likes to get to the point where failure is a risk.
I took no offence bud but I can tell you I know what the itch is like. I bought my 08 Jan 4th of this year and I've been itching to mod the crap out of it, but all in due time, have to get my savings up again to a place I feel comfortable. Enjoy the tires while they're still good and invest in something else for your truck, or significant other.

yes man, and my local tire shop said i might could push 5000 more, but that it wasnt worth risking blowout or anything else. the had the cracking and grayish color which yours does...thats dry rotting and the tires become dry...i would replace also, which i have done

That's about when I replace mine...I look for the cracking and drying out to start. Mine wear out from age rather then mileage

FordGuy, thanks. Yeah unfortunately, my truck doesn't fit in a garage (by a mere inches in length. Thanks D.R. Horton for not informing me of the option to extend my garage!). So my tires are always outside and it gets crazy hot here. The weather is very unpredictable.

Yeah they're doing pretty well there. Really takes a lot of water to get them loose. I don't feel like I have to drive any more conservative than I normally would in rain or wet conditions. (I don't really drive all that conservatively, but I don't punch it either or attempt to take turns without slowing down, etc.)

yea go ahead and get a pair, when they start cracking it is time. mine also dry rot well before time to replace due to driving less than 75 miles a week max. thats why i got mud graps. the noise wont bother me they are cheap, and bada$$.

Thanks pkent. I like the way you think! I'll start calling Discount Tire and see how close they can get to the online prices.

Thanks for those sites pkent. I'm really torn right now between the new Nitto Trail Grapplers and the Toyo MT. I want something more aggressive than what I have, but I don't think I can handle the noise of the Mud Grappler.
