Looking around at tires, just to look. No money, and jus bought a set.

Anyway, Would a 235/60/18 tire be better on a 8/9 in wide rim?

 

A 235mm wide tire would be better on a 6 or 7 inch wide wheel.

 

Out of curiosity, why is that?

 

Just because it is such a narrow tire. When you stretch a tire out onto a wide wheel, it leaves the sidewalls vurnable to damage.
Out of curiousity, why did you go with such a tiny tire?

 

Oh that makes sense. I'm just curious, trying to find a tire look I like. Want wider rim/tires, but not the sidewall heights i've been seeing. Probably just not looking in the right places. Nothing ridiculously 'thin' though.
