Tire Size suggestions/help

I know there has probably been a lot of questions concerning tire sizes, but I have been searching through the posts and have read a lot of different opinions and thoughts. If you could help me out with my choice for tires it would be much appreciated.

My Truck:
2005 F150 Fx4 Crew - 2.5" level - Stock tire/wheels 275/65R18

I want to keep my stock wheels but would like to run a 33's, 34's, maybe 35's, but 34ish would be ideal. I have looked at the Nitto Terra Grappler and a few others. I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money, but I do wanna get a decent set. With a good tread life and good in wet and dry conditions that are not extremely loud but still have the off-road look.

What tires would you suggest, and what size would fit or look the best. If anyone has pictures of the different tires or sizes that would be most helpful.

Thanks.

go with 315 65 18 toyo open country AT or MT, the at is rated for 50k i have 325x65r18 on mine which is a 35 the 315 is a 34. my tires are nasty looking, they have the off road look pretty quiet and have good traction off road as well as on road.. i give my tires 5/5

Lots of great tires, many different sizing options etc so I will just give you my opinion.

Some great Tires for your situation: Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo Open Country AT, Hankook Dynapro ATM, BFG All Terrain TAKO.....

Sizes: 295/70R18 (Nitto) 305/65R18 (BFG) 285/65R18 (all) 285/75R18 (Toyo)

Also for a little more aggressive tire consider Nitto Trail Grappler, Toyo Open Country MT (pricey but great), Hankook Dynapro RT03, Goodyear DuraTrac etc..

Wow thanks guys!

Are the MT going to wear faster than the AT? I know the MT's will probably be nosier than the AT's, but will you also suffer in gas mileage compared to the AT's or is it about the same?

yeah generally an mt will wear quicker however great mt's like the toyo most report around 50k miles without much loss of road manners, the hankooks are similar in my experience.

yeah with stock rims, the sizes i put would all be fine..at most you may have a little rub at full lock with a 35x12.5. Those two should be just fine though
