Tire size for 05 Stock Screw ??
Tire size for 05 Stock Screw ??
I have an 05 stock Supercrew and wanted to know what size tires to buy to give me a bit more clearance but keep the smooth stock ride quality. I am not looking to go sky high just a more aggressive stance. Also what brand would be good to go with. I do a good bit of driving so I dont want to get a tire thats going to make a lot of road noise. I know a lot of this is personal opinion but Im just looking for some direction on what to buy. I have the 17" wheels on it now, and dont want to buy a new set of wheels just yet. Thanks alot for any input!
I believe I would look at the 295/70/17 Nitto "Trail" Grappler. Assuming your 4x4 the tire should fit fin on stock wheel without leveling and even tho the tire is fairly new they are getting good reviews and seem to be wearing well...
Rowe,
Look at my pics, it may give you an idea or two, I have the 285/65/18 Kumho KL78's and you will NOT have/notice any road noise AT ALL. I did keep a smooth, quiet ride w/ an slight aggressive look and do get compliments on how smooth and quiet they even from my mom. They cost aound $900 +/-, thats everything, mounting, balancing and alignment out the door. Hope this helps.

D150 he had 17, not 18.
PhatCatDM, lets assume he has a 2wd. 265/70r17 would be the best bet on a stock truck without worrying about anything. 4wd and i still say 285/70r17 would be the biggest i would go. different trucks sit at a different level than others. it might fit on yours but not all. better safe than sorry.

sorry guys, I forgot to put that it's 4x4. thanks for all the replies. Is it worth buying tires online and having them shipped? I thought the shipping would be killer but maybe not. Where do you find the best deals at?
