Talking Nitto Trail Grappler Pics....

Ok the rain finally stopped so I was able to wash the truck and take some pictures of my trucks new shoes. Check out my album and to be honest these tires look way more aggressive in person. Pictures just don't do the justice!!!

Those are nice! You should get some more pics from the side so we can really see your truck!

Yeah I need to get some side shots. Unfortunately I live in an apartment complex and there are cars all around me so I couldn't get a side shot without getting other cars in the picture. I will have to drive to an empty parking lot or field and take some more pics.

So, how do those new Nittos ride and handle? I don't know very many people with them on their rigs yet.

Well I don't have any experience with MT tires. I popped my cherry with this set. The last few days it has been raining here so I have been able to test them out in wet weather and they handle very well. I have to really floor it to break them loose on wet pavement. I don't offroad my truck so I couldn't tell you how they handle on the trails or in the mud. That's what I have my Yamaha Grizzley for They have a slight hum but nothing compared to other MT's I have heard. I will say that the steering does feel just a tad bit loose compared to my old Terra Grapplers. I am not sure if this is just the way MT's are because of the tread design or what but nothing major like you could lose control. Oh and also I know I have said this before but the pictures just don't do the justice on how wicked the tires look in person.

A good set of MTs will ALWAYS make a 4X4 look better. Looks good man, I just wish they made them in 38"s.

Pics look good man. If they make them in 35" on 16 later I might get a set when I need some

That's my next set of tires right there. Probably 295/65/20s. I might need new wheels with a different offset though, and a Rancho 4" lift!

I haven't done anything to my '05 FX4 as far as leveling or lift but I need new tires. I love the way these look but the sizing looks jacked. I have the stock 18's and I believe they're 7.5" wide rims, according to nitto the 285/65/18's should be in the 8.0" - 10.0". The 295/70/18's have 7.5 - 10" for approved rim sizing. Should the 295/70's fit or is that a negative? These tires look sweet but if I'm spending a grand on them I want to make sure they'll actually fit lol.

Yeah they will fit on those rims. No harm will come from running on that size rim. I have my old STSs on a 0.5" smaller rim than suggested, and I had no issues. But I also did not do any mudding or rock crawling with them either.

Nice set up. I'm thinking that wheel tire combo is what I'm going to run. Some full side shots of your truck would be nice. Let us know how they hold up to day to day driving.

They look terrific! When I bought my Toyo MT's I seriously considered those but I needed tires then and couldn't wait for them to hit the market. Let us know how they wear and tell us if the nose level is high. Once again, they look great! Congrats!
