Front pad swap ok?

Is it necessary to turn the rotors usually? In the past with full rotors I always turned them but I was reading that most are just doing pad swaps these days.

I personally would never install new pads without new or turned rotors. No real reason not to turn them. It's too easy and to cheap to not do it compared to benefit it provides...but that's just me.
