My GoodYear MT/Rs are On!! And Rancho 9000 XL Pro Series Shocks!! (long)
F$#& Toyo, BFG, ProComp, and all of 'em!! Let's be honest...does it really matter what they drive or sound like when it looks like this
Ooookay...just kidding. But, I can not tell you how glad I am that I went with this tire! I was sooo tired of seeing Toyo's on every single truck on the street, that I really wanted something different. These things look amazing. Turns out, it's an awesome tire to boot! Only thing I have to compare it to is my old BFG Mud T/A KMs. These tires are quieter than the BFGs for sure. They also feel less knobby. Stability is great for a mud tire. I think people just need to be realistic about tires, especially when you're buying a mud tire for the street. You can't buy a mud tire and then complain about the noise, but these are just fine. Handling is actually on par with the Nitto All Terrain tires I just replaced. If you didn't already know, this is an asymmetric tire, not directional. There's a difference. Directional tires can't be cross-rotated...these can. There's an inside and an outside, not a direction. Thus, in my size, (305/70 16) the white letters can't be turned around to the inside, even if you wanted to. That's OK, I like the letters anyways. I think the white letters really "fit" my truck. This size is also an E rated tire, which works out perfect since I have a toy hauler. It doesn't ride like an E rated tire though. In fact, the tire itself doesn't feel any stiffer than any other tire I've had, which has been mostly Ds, so it's close. As with most brands, if you've never noticed, each size in the same tire will have different load ratings. This tire will get popular, I guarantee it. But for now, I'm going to enjoy being the only set I've seen riding around.

As is the case with most things...the pics just don't do them justice.
And my new Rancho 900XL Pro Series Remote Resi shocks. They're awesome too. I had the Edelbrock Extreme Travel shocks on here before and was really disappointed in how long they lasted...only about 50,000 or so. I expected an expensive top end shock to do better. Oh well. Nothing feels as great as new shocks and you really never now just how bad your old ones really are until you drive with the new ones. The adjustment on these is pretty neat and not a gimmick. They make a difference. I enjoy a firm ride so I ended up with a 7 on the front and a 3 on the rear. It's firm, but not unbearably stiff or pogo-ish. And going from 7 to 9 on the front does make a difference. Full soft is soft, but not mushy, and full firm (9) is like a pogo stick. The 7 and 3 seemed like quite a split at first, but with nothing in the bed, this gave the truck the same ride and handling characteristics on both axles. I personally will most likely never change the front, and will play with the rears with the trailer or the bed loaded.

I did all this in conjunction with all new tie rod ends, new idler arm, new pitman arm, and nice new front end alignment. Needless to say, she's like a brand new truck!!

I was thinkin the same about the 315's for your truck. Those do look really good tho, i've considered them for some time soon in the future, but i'm not big on the white letters. They look good on your tuck tho, being white imo. It's damn clean too!!! Great lookin truck!
Looks sweet
I LOVE how those 305/70/16's look! I have always stayed away from Good Year's but I really do like the look of those MT/R'S!!!Galaxy you have the Rancho lift- With the 305's how high is your truck from stock?Reason why I am asking is that I do want to put a lift on my 02 screw but I dont wanna go that high and your truck looks bout the height that I am after!

Yea, it's the Rancho 4" lift. I have no idea what the heigth was before the lift...was a long time ago. I do seem to remember having to use the torsion bars to get the last bit of the 4 inches. I picked the Rancho and the 33's because I have a mandatory requirement that the truck still fit in the garage. Plus, years ago when I bought mine, shock for anything over 4" was extremely limited.
