Lowered truck, Now What?

Hey guys, so before anyone says anything, I did search this but got back a million results. I just lowered my 08 2WD Truck this weekend. Went with the Belltech Coil Springs and Bell Tech Shackles. It lowered my truck around 3.5 in the front, 2 exactly in the back. My question is if I have 22x9" Wheels, what tire size should I go with. I have read on here that alot of guys go with 305/40/22. Tire Rack recommended 275/45/22. Just wondering with my new stance what I should do. Thanks in advance!!!

PS. Place pics of my truck once the wheels are on!

305/40/22 will be way too big, so is the other one they are nearly identically the same height, i have 305/40/22 on my 2/5 drop and they rub on big bumps, id suggest a 265/35/22, that is what i am changing to so i can lower it as much as you without rubbing

I guess my biggest concern is having the tires look beefy, not like rubberbands on my wheels. I definately what a big of enough sidewall to maintain that look. So 265/35/22? You were saying the 305's would be to big compared to the actual rim size? It's tough because alot of the tires I like are not offered in that 265/35/22 size, or the 275/45/22 for that matter. But there is a ton of tires to choose from at the 305/40/22 size? Hmmmm. Decisions?!

ok well here is my truck with 305/40/22 and a 2.5/5 drop

now i just noticed you have a v6 so you may be a little higher then me, but your dropped another inch then me, which if my truck was an inch lower it would be pretty hard to not bottom out the tire on the fender, im not trying to say you should get rubber band tires but with that much of a drop i would suggest a tire at most 30.5" tall even that would be pushing it though imo, that would be like my truck was lowered another half an inch to give you a perspective.

to find the size of a tire use this converter it might help you find the size you need

2/4 drop, 205/40-22 tires. My tires stick out past the fenders up front a bit and I'd like to get less narrow tires, just keep the same height tire as far as OD is concerned. Wheel offset width also has a lot to do with how far they stick out. I may switch to stock 08 Harley rims at some point so I can keep the tires inside the fender.

I think a 265/35-22 will be a little to small. Maybe something like a 285/40-22?

Thanks guys for the feedback. Stealth, do you have any other pics(upclose) of you tires? Maybe a side pic so I can see how far they come out from the fenders. I understand trying to keep the right height, I am just concerned about having enough sidewall. Alot of the streets I am on to and from work or horrible and the minute I hit one I know curb rash could occur.

It's a Reflexxions non cobra cowl hood. I got it from Stylin Trucks a year and a half ago for $200 more than they cost now. They are about $400+ or so now.

Thanks man. I went to the shop today and they suggested the 265, but I think I am going to go for 285 tire. Thanks for posting the pics!

285/40 FTW.

265/35 will kill you driving and possible mess up the rim if road is bad enough..
