Do I Need To Bleed?

Hopefully soon when all my parts come in ill be installing my 12inch Rize and was wondering when i change out my brake lines should i bleed them? Would it be a good idea or no? Few people said ill have to add about a pint anyways due to have longer brake lines etc. Truck has 50k on it

You should be using DOT 3. The OEM uses DOT 3... some DOT 4 fluids may be incompatible.

The additives in brake fluid can vary. I would stick with name brands if it were my truck. Cheaping-out on brake fluid could lead to higher wear or even rust in the brake system. Generally not a system where you want to take risks.
