BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA KO
Just got em last week and I love them so far. I can't really give a review yet but here are the reasons I went with them:
1. Everybody I talk to says they wear really well.
2. Not too loud
3. Just aggressive enough
4. The original all-terrain tire
5. Not too soft
6. I mean, c'mon, what looks better than a BFG All-terrain tire? Seriously.

I've been thinking of going either Nitto or Toyo for the next set just to cut back on costs a bit. The 35" BFG is $$$!

Damndest thing is, salesman tlaked me into it while I was there for an oil change. I told him I just had a baby( the wife did) and didn't have the cash to be putting on a truck. Walked out with a truck 3 years newer, more options and lower payments. No money down. Boy was I surprised. I did it so fast, I didn't think and got a 5.5 bed. Still nice though.

Your truck is really good looking. Its always been one of my favorite ones on here.
You got that right man. I figure I better do what I want before I get married and have kids. Know what I mean?

You have the 285/65/20s dont you? Do you have any rubbing with the leveling kit? I had some pretty bad rubbing and had to do some trimming. Just wondered if you had to do the same or if it was just the low offset of my wheel that caused it.

Luckily my wife doesn't care what I do with my money so long as the bills are paid, there's food and the table and we can go on vacation at least once a year!
I do have the 285/65/20s and have zero rubbing. The offset of your wheel is what caused your problem. The wheel I have has almost the same BS/offset as the factory 20s, so I was able to squeeze an almost 35" tire on there.
I'm thinking maybe putting on a Rancho 4" lift next year if I can fit some 325/60/20s Nitto Terra Grapplers without any issue. The BFG TA KOs in that size are about $450 each! The Nittos are only $340 each.

There's a 4wheelparts store right around the corner from my house, and if you get the lift from them, it comes with rancho shocks. Still, not cheap.

I hear ya about the $$. I'll have the truck paid off in a couple months so I'll be able to start saving up for the lift. I figure by next year I should have enough to drop on the lift, installation and new tires.

06 f150 5.4 4x4 xlt xtr with 18's.
running goodyear wrangler silent armours.
so far 7000 on them and will rotate at 10,000. Last I checked about 1000 ago there was no noticable wear. So far I've driven in a lot of different conditions.
-icy highway
-snow covered highways
-lakes
-mud
-dry pavement
-wet pavement
-soupy clay
-slush
Excellent tires. Grip like a blizzak but arent souly a winter tire. They are winter rated and are an all terrain but they run like a HT on the highway. No noise, no flex, ride hard (its a truck, if i wanted a soft ride I would buy a buick). No 4x4 yet. Actually debating whether I should have just bought a 2wd now. They look decent which I don't care anyway cause I buy tires to perform not for the looks. paid 1200 canadian for them in 275 65 18.

They've been open for 2 years maybe, and there's always a bunch of vehicles in the lot, some are employees, others are trucks waiting to be picked up. I pass them on the way to work every day and I've seen several 09+ F150s with lifts sitting out front.

Yeah, the store isn't all that big, but they've got a couple bays for installation, and that's all I'm really worried about. I can order all the hardware I need on-line, but I don't have the space or the tools to install a lift myself.

Cross Roads in Cary had a couple of new trucks with lifts. Don't know who is doing their installs though. I spent most of one Friday in their service area, on the way to the beach.
I bought my truck from Crossroads and they did most of my services. They do OK, but I was never overly impressed. They did the install for my leveling kit, so they might install lifts there too. I'd hate to imagine how much they charge for that! If I need to go to the dealer now, I take it to Capital Ford.
What brought you into the shop?

I was on the way to E City, and my my check engine light came on, around South Point. Figured I better play it safe, so I stopped. Ended up being a CHT sensor, and thermostat. Took about 7 hours to get it done. There rates sem a little higher than Kernersville. I deal with Cross Roads in Kernersville, so I used them.
If I had been going through W Forest instead of Raleigh, I would have gone to Capital instead. I almost bought a Bronco from Capital when I first graduated from State in 92.
