ABS Problem

I have a problem that I have never ran across before. I tried a search string but found no results for this problem.

2000 F-150 4X4 5.4 V/8 Automatic Ext Cab.

Had a check engine light come on this morning and truck was missing. Recurring problems with COP's nothing new. Got back home and hooked up scanner and gave code P305 #5 cylinder misfire. Ok no problem just change out COP. Cleared code and turned off ignition and I could hear an electrical motor running. Turned key back on and ABS and Brake light were on. Turned key back off and motor still running. Opened hood and found ABS was cotinuiously running with key off. Had to take positive cable off to get it to stop. Waited a few minutes and put cable back on and it was still running. Took back off and had to pull fuse to kill power to get it to not run.

Has anyone ever ran across this problem before????
Brakes seem fine with it disconnected and should be ok but I need to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
RRM

My 2000 2 wheel drive did same. Disconnected the plug that goes into it. Brakes still work but if i plug it back in,the unit starts running again. Would be nice to fix it. Abs light went on long before it happened.
